Morgan Hill & Gilroy Wedding | Christina and Ramon

Christina (Rita) & Ramon’s wedding finally came.  After taking their beautiful engagement session photos, I was excited when the day came to shoot their wedding.  Their traditional Mexican wedding ceremony was beautifully executed and incorporated a mariachi band!  Following their ceremony, we headed over to the ultra modern Morgan Hill Community center just south of the San Francisco/San Jose bay area for a beautifully decorated reception with black and white damask accented with magenta colors.  Congratulations Rita & Ramon!  Thanks for having us take part in being your wedding photographer!

Special thanks to Barbara Yasuhara for assisting and shooting this day with me!

Fun Oakland Engagement Session | Jennifer & Frederic

Super quick 1 hour engagement session at Middle Harbor Shoreline Park in Oakland just at the base of eastern side of the Bay Bridge span. It was a pretty unique location with beautiful views of the San Francisco skyline and interesting views of the industrial parts of Oakland. Jennifer and Fred are a super fun couple to work with. Their laid back personalities and a goofy sense of humor will make for a really fun wedding to shoot this month at the Viansa Winery in Sonoma! Looking forward!

Fremont Sikh-Hindu Fusion Wedding | Divya & Harpreet

I met Divya & Harpreet earlier in the year to plan the awesome wedding celebration. I loved their openness to being creative and wanting to spend extra time for photos!  We definitely had a great time getting to know eachother during their engagement session.  Finally, the week of the wedding came.  Five great days of celebrations it was definitely a fusion of two…with a mix of Hindu and Sikh customs.  We started the week with an low-key Mehendi at Divya’s home.  Her unique design was custom created by Neeta of Mehendi Designer.  Mehendi was also done at Harp’s place with all the ladies from his side of the family.  The followed day we returned to Harp’s place for the Haldi ceremony enjoyed smearing the golden yellow colored turmeric paste on Harp.  The evening concluded with celebratory song and dance.  The third day, we returned to Divya’s home for a traditional Ganesh Pooja ceremony where the family paid respects.

The wedding ceremony was held at the Fremont Gurdwara Sahib and was followed by a delicious luncheon then a visit to the Jain Temple to pay respects with prayer.  We ended the day with a quick visit to Lake Elizabeth for some fun shots with the bridal party then headed back home for some traditional games and more dancing!

Divya & Harp’s gorgeous reception was held that the famous Blackhawk Car Museum in Danville, CA.  The contemporary teal and purple colored theme decorated by 1000 Fine Events of Fremont was a lovely match with the classic cars that surrounded the tables.  It was a great celebration that included lots of dancing, fun photo booths for the guests to enjoy with goofy props or a cool photo in front of a classic car.

Special thanks to the team that helped to cover the 5 days of events: Leujay Cruz, Barbara Yasuhara (covering the Ganesh Pooja), and Mark Nabong.
