The trails and parks along Skyline Drive on the San Francisco Peninsula are BEAUTIFUL! I never new about this location until I met with Amanda and Brian a couple months ago when then asked me to photograph their engagement session. Both 1 year new to the Bay Area and recently engaged, they wanted to have their photos taken at the same location where Brian proposed to Amanda! The location was the Long Ridge Open Space Preserve on Skyline Drive (HWY 35) just north of Big Basin Way (HWY 9) in Saratoga.
It was a very warm day but with views of the Pacific Ocean in the distance beyond hills of giant redwoods, it was definitely worth it! Given that it was my first time visiting the location, I arrived at the trail head a little early to scope the place out. This place is gorgeous! As soon as I saw a golden field of grass, I new immediately how I wanted to shoot there. We took many shots in this park including a few at the exact location of the proposal. After we spent a couple hours at the park, we then headed to Downtown Saratoga for a few night shots of the two strolling the streets of this quaint downtown area.
Amanda and Brian will be exchanging their wedding vows next year in Massachusetts! Congratulations you two and best wishes for a wonderful marriage!
