I met with Michelle and Sami from Vallejo a few months ago to help plan for their engagement session and upcoming wedding at the Hyatt at Fisherman’s Wharf this summer! It was a beautiful day for their engagement session which was held at the marina in Jack London Square in Oakland. Being 3 years new to the Bay Area, this was my first time there. It surely reminded me of where I grew up in Southern California. But shooting at Jack London Square had very special meaning for Michelle and Sami as this was where Sami proposed to her. Having known each other for more than 6 years and both working in the same industry, you could tell how much they were meant for each other. We wandered along the walkways of the marina for some fun shots then as the light became more beautiful, Michelle and Sami made a quick clothing change for some great romantic shots. With a beautiful blue sky and and gorgeous sunset view of San Francisco, we had a great opportunity to play with some off camera flash in bright daylight. They are such a fun couple and their great personalities, carefree attitude, openness toward each other and me made for a great 3 hour engagement session.
