We finally got together to shoot! Yes, after a few weeks of postponing due to bad weather, Sonya, Chris and their beautiful daughter Bella met me at Wente Vineyards in San Francisco’s East Bay city of Livermore for a fun winery engagement shoot. The weather was great with nice blue skies and it wasn’t too cold! Although the building grounds were undergoing a little construction, we found some great places to photograph. And thanks to the recent rains, it was green everywhere. Sonya was absolutely in love with wanting to take photos among the pretty yellow mustard plants, so we had plenty fun hiking up some trails get up and close. Their daughter Bella is an adorable little girl to work with as well and just loved being in front of the camera. The session made for a great family portrait session. Luckily, when it was mommy and daddy’s turn to take photos, I had my trusty iPhone to distract her with a fun game of animal match (which BTW is a great game that I use for my son when he needs a little distraction).
After a successful morning of shooting, we all headed out for lunch to talk more about their upcoming wedding in Carmel. It is going to be absolutely beautiful! A traditional Catholic ceremony will be held the historic Carmel Mission in Carmel, CA followed by a beachside hawaiian style reception at Kula Ranch Island Steakhouse in Marina, CA. Looking forward to a great day shooting this California Coastal Wedding!
